Three of My Favorite Breakfast Ideas

A good day starts with good nutrition. If you take a few minutes to plan your breakfast and start the day by nourishing your body, you are more likely to continue with good eating habits throughout the day. Eat food that makes you satisfied, energetic, and ready to take on the day! You want a combo of protein, vegetables, and healthy fat. Here are my three go to ideas because It’s all about simplicity in the morning.

Frittata’s or Egg Muffins- Use a dozen eggs to prepare a big frittata or a make into individual egg muffins. They will last you for a several days, and don’t have to be heated up. Add in your favorite vegetables and seasoning and the options are endless. My favorite is sauteed spinach and mushrooms with Italian seasoning. You can even add bacon, sausage, or cheese.

Sausage and Veggie Scramble- If you don’t eat eggs, you can still make a scramble. Cook ground sausage ( I like New Seasons chicken bulk sausage) then add in diced vegetables of your choice. You can also add diced or shredded sweet potatoes.

Isalean Shake- Two scoops, add water, and you have a complete meal in about 20 seconds. I drink this every day. Chose Whey or Dairy free and you get 24 grams of protein, 23 vitamins and minerals, and eight grams to fiber to stay full.

Bonuses for even better health:

Greens! These are my new favorite morning drink. I drink them plain but you can also add them in a shake.

Probiotics- Another new favorite! They help decrease bloating and increase gut health.

When you have a little more time

Avocado toast- on a rice cake or Ezekial bread. Add a sliced hard boiled or scrambled egg, or add Cottage or ricotta cheese for protein. You can top it with cucumbers, micro greens, tomatoes and of course, Everything but the Bagel Seasoning

Waffles- Make your own protein waffle. I use two scoops of Isalean or IsaPro protein powder, one egg, and a little water or almond milk until it’s the desired consistency.
